Bentley Auto Negotiation
I thought this negotiation went well, both on the part of the seller (Scott) and the buyer (me). My idea of a good negotiation results when both sides act ethically and get most of what they want without taking advantage of the other side.

The Blender
This was a frustrating negotiation because I knew from the beginning that the clerk (Dr. Strange) would not take back the blender.
I kept my cool and tried to climb the brick wall that was the return clerk. The clerk would not accept my return without the original box. I asked if they would exchange it...no! I asked for a partial credit....no! I asked if they had a spare box....no! After much banter back and forth, the clerk agreed to send my blender back to the manufactur for repair ( I agreed to package it).

Appleton Vs. Baker
Our first negotiation. I represented the Bakers, a family who wanted to buy a partial lot next to their home. The partial lot was valued at $7000, over 20 years ago. I figured that it would be worth at least $20k now....(this is the price the Bakers were willing to go up to). I brought up $10k and it was rejected.....and then I offered $14k and it was accepted.
I felt that I got a great deal for the Bakers because I saved them $6000.
